American Girl Store

We took a trip to the Grove in LA with Tausha, Reina, & Keira and had luch at the American Girl Cafe. Such an amazing place, I love the way they cater to little girls and make them feel so special.

Ainsley & Reina on the AG star- where Ainsley says dreams come true. :)

The girls making a sunvisor craft. Today was the unveiling of the 2011 girl of the year named Kanani, so everything had a Hawaiian theme.

Ainsley and Lanie.

Allie waiting with her new Bitty Baby for the cafe doors to open.

Bitty Baby was hungry!

Allie & Bitty Baby at lunch. See the cute high chairs for their dolls???

Ainsley & Lanie at lunch. Mom was mean and wouldn't let her take Kanani out of the box. One doll to have at the table was enough!

Happy 2011!

Ok, I am going to try to get back to this blogging thing! :)

Danger Will Robinson

Allie has no fear. She climbs like a maniac, even moving things quickly to help her climb more quickly. She scares me.
Here are two times I caught her today. Sorry for the grainy pics- they are from my phone.

The one you don't see is when I caught her standing on top of the table. ACK!

Christmas Day

Grandpa & Poodle and Kelly, Cameron, Miley & Irelyn came over today to celebrate Christmas. The girls had a blast playing in the backyard together. As usual, I did not have my camera around to capture any of the moments...

Here are a few of the after...
Ainsley got a telescope from Grandpa and Poodle and she is checking out the moon.

Ainsley loves her My little Ponies from Kelly, Cam, Miley & Irelyn.

Christmas Morning

The girls were so excited to wake up and see that Santa had been to their house! Ainsley was difficult to get any pictures of since she never stopped moving, but she was very excited about her Barbie scooter & art table. Allie was delighted with her rocking horse. Being a parent and seeing the excitement and wonder on your child's face on Christmas morning is something that just cannot be explained. :)

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve was a super busy day. We baked cookies for Santa & finished our shopping.

We took a walk to look at Christmas lights and it was Allie's first wagon ride. She LOVED it!

She kept singing songs to herself and dancing.

Ainsley wrote her first letter to Santa. I was so proud of her. All I did was help her make the sounds and she spelled the words herself!

Before going to bed, Ainsley left milk and cookies for Santa and a carrot for Rudolph.

Allie Candids

She's such a cutie. Here are a few from the last few days.

Allie's piggy bank

Ainsley taught Allie to put the coins in her piggy bank yesterday. The sheer delight on her face when she gets one in is precious!

So proud!

We had an appointment for Allie to get her 1 year shots (we are a bit behind!) today. She got 6 shots and is up to 19 lbs. 4 oz and 31 inches long. Such a big girl!

While we were waiting, Ainsley decided to write on the paper on the bed in the office. So darn proud of her writing. I had to help her a bit with spelling her last name, but the rest was all her!

Halloween

The girls had a blast on Halloween! Ainsley was a cowgirl and Allie was a cow. The theme was not deliberate, it just worked out that way...

Walkin!

Allie is on the move! She actually made it across the room this evening- she wanted to see what Ainsley was doing, but I did not have the camera.

Dance Recital

Ainsley's dance recital was last Friday. She did awesome! We were very proud of her and she liked being dressed up in her costume. It is so funny to see her all dolled up- hair curled & fancy.

With Poodle

Mom, Allie, and Grandma

and with Grandpa. Look at the sass with her hand on her hip!

Unfortunately, flash photography was not allowed in the recital, so I don't have any decent pictures of her actually dancing! Thanks to Aunt Kelly for taking all these pics!

Chatterbox

Ainsley has always been a talker, but lately you can't get a word in edgewise.

A gem from yesterday...

"Hey Mommy, this morning I was going to look up why the space shuttle did not go up when I was on the internet and print it so I could read it, but I forgot how to spell space shuttle."

Where does she get this stuff?

Ainsley's Art

She LOVES to draw. This is her and I playing together.

A few bits about her at 8 months... she started stage 2 foods & her favorite is carrots, she crawls like crazy and pulls herself to a standing position any time she has the opportunity, she loves to have the attention of her big sister, her favorite toy is a small duck, and she loves to push balls around and chase them.

Afternoon at Tom's Farms

We spent the afternoon at Tom's Farms with Kelly, Cameron, Miley, Irelyn, Poodle and Grandpa. What a fun day!

Allie got her own little car so she could be like her cousins. Boy did she love it!

Here is all 3 of the little girls together. They were quite a spectacle!

Ainsley got to ride Dexter the pony...

and feed the goats and pigs at the petting zoo...

After running out of food she told us that it was better to not have food because the goats leave you alone.

and finally, a carousel ride...

It was a fantastic time. On the way home Ainsley told me that she needed to learn "piglish" before we went back so that the pigs could understand her. :)

Tupperware

There is nothing more fun for a kid than the tupperware cabinet!

Music

Ainsley has always had a love for music and so Daddy got her a keyboard! The keys light up and help her play songs and she does a great job.

A horse is a horse of course of course

Last weekend, Ainsley got to spend the afternoon at Tom's Farms with Grandpa and Poodle, Kelly, Cameron & Miley and Irelyn. She got to go on the carousel...

and go to the petting zoo...

and best of all, ride a horse for the first time.

She had a BLAST and was not even a bit scared. I'm guessing we will be making a trip back to visit the horse again soon. :)
